Balance Disc: everyday stability and coordination

BalanceRehabCore

Once a dog has outgrown the anchored wobble of the doughnut and base, the next step is instability that moves a little more freely. The classic balance disc is that step: a portable, adjustable cushion of controlled wobble that turns quiet standing into real stability work, anywhere in the house or clinic.

An inflatable balance disc with a non-slip textured surface, used on its own for stability, coordination, and muscle conditioning. Firmness adjusts by inflation, and it is available in two diameters so the challenge suits dogs of every size.

  • Freer, adjustable instability for progressing dogs
  • Non-slip textured surface for confident footing
  • Two diameters cover every size of dog
  • Firmness adjusts by inflation

Common questions

Owners often ask

What is the difference between the Balance Disc and the Balance Doughnut with Base?

The doughnut sits anchored in its stabilising ring, so its wobble is small and predictable, which is what early rehab and nervous beginners need. The disc stands alone and moves more freely, making it the natural progression once anchored work looks easy.

Which size disc should I choose?

The 34 cm disc suits small and medium dogs standing fully on it, and works for single-limb exercises with bigger dogs. The 57 cm disc gives large breeds room for two-paw and four-paw work. Clinics often stock both.

How firm should it be?

Firmer means easier, exactly like our other inflatables. Start well inflated and release small amounts of air as your dog gets stronger and more confident.

Can it be used on hard floors?

Yes. The underside grips, but as with all balance work, place it on a mat or carpet for extra security, trim nails first, and supervise every session.
